NDIS Train the Trainer workshops - special workshops for service providers and others from the disability sector
The NDIS ‘transition to full Scheme ‘is nearly underway. Is your organisation on top of the changes this will bring, including the brand-new changes to the NDIS Participant Pathway?
Due to strong demand, the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) Disability Loop project is pleased to advise that over three days from 07 June 2016, people from the Victorian disability sector who work directly to inform and support people with disability and their families will be able to build their capacity and knowledge of the NDIS in a series of 6 half-day workshops.
The NDIS Understanding series are ‘Train the Trainer’ workshops. This series will provide the up-to-date, detailed information and resources businesses and organisations need to better inform people with disability and families about the NDIS.
This workshop series is particularly important in the current climate, now that the NDIS Participant Pathway is changing with the ‘transition to full Scheme’ beginning July 2016. Don’t get left behind with out-of-date information about the NDIS.
There are six (6) half day NDIS Understanding train the trainer workshops. The Melbourne workshops open to all interested parties will be held over three days (07-09 June 2016) at the Jasper Hotel in Melbourne.

Is this just for Melbourne?
We're not sure yet. If we get enough interest we may be able to run these in other capital cities too. We'll let you know in our eNews, and on our website, Facebook, and Twitter when we know more. You can also email disabilityloop@afdo.org.au to sign up to the waiting list.
People with disability can subscribe to the Disability Loop eNews where upcoming versions of the workshops for people with disability and their families will be promoted.
